Challenging front-end work

Abstract, colorful, and simplistic. Stanford's d.school helps people develop their creative abilities, and Upperquad did an amazing job of capturing the true spirit of d.school. The design is abstract, colorful, and simplistic. We challenged ourselves to deliver that experience on every device, with performance as the primary concern.

We built custom visual components for the copywriters to use however they see fit. Links transform automagically into eye-capturing hovering meta cards, and bullet points turn into neat-looking dropdowns.

Built on top of Squarespace

The client wanted their editors to author content from within Squarespace, which means the website is a custom Squarespace template. Each component or section was made available within the Squarespace dashboard, giving the editors freedom to build new pages using existing building blocks.
